Star Milling Co. was bought by Richard Cramer in 1970 and is now owned by his son Bill Cramer. It is a family owned and operated business and is dedicated to manufacturing feeds that are consistent in good quality and nutrition.
Star Milling is unique because it is capable of producing extruded products such as dog, cat and fish feeds. We also produce the best line of extruded horse feeds, which when extruded, makes the product more digestible to the animal.
We produce over 300 products for many different species of animals, including a show line of feed for 4-H, FFA, and Grange projects. Please check out our product line, the owners and employees work very hard to bring you superior products and service.

 I I want to congratulate Rick Ogden for receiving the July EOM award. Rick is very deserving of this recognition he is a very dedicated employee and I can count on him to take care of whatever task is given to him, whether it’s keeping feed at the Slidell, running grains to load out for customers, or running grains for the outside mixer; Rick’s got it covered. Rick is always keeping an eye on quality as well. He is quick to point out if something doesn’t look quite right and I appreciate his close watch on the grain. Rick is probably one of the quietest guys out on the floor. Don't let that fool you. Rick is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to any task he is given. From what I can remember, Rick ran the night shift at Diamond; running the mixing room and loading trucks. Now he runs the rollers, the grain cleaner, and mixes the scratch here at Star Milling.
